Prototype Engineering Development Institute (PEDI) was set up in 2009 as one of the institutes of The National Agency for Science and Engineering lnfrastructure(NASENI). The Agency was established by Decree No. 3 3 of 1992 to develop and nurture an appropriate and dynamic science and engineering infrastructure base for achieving home-initiated and home­sustained industrialisation through the development of relevant processes, capital goods and equipment necessary for job creation, national economic well being and progress.
